How long will it take to register a Singapore subsidiary?

In Singapore, the subsidiary company can be setup within an hour if all the documents are in order. When you incorporate with Rikvin, our computerized proprietary software system can generate the required documents within minutes. Once the necessary incorporation papers are signed, we can proceed with the filing to the company registrar, and the outcome of the incorporation is almost instant. However, if there is a need for the application of licenses with referral authorities, it may lengthen the process. The entire process can take between one day to a few weeks, subject to the following conditions:

Reservation of Subsidiary Name
Prior to the registration, the name of the subsidiary has to be reserved first. In the event that the subsidiary contains sensitive words or the name is similar to an existing company name, it may be subject to review by relevant authorities and the entire duration may be lengthened.

Name Appeal and Referral
If the chosen company name is similar to an existing/defunct company, a name appeal is required to be submitted to the registrar. The outcome will be known within 3 – 5 working days. As for referral, your name application might have been subjected to prevailing licensing conditions.

However, please note that if there is a need for the application of licenses with referral authorities, it may lengthen the process.
