According to Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) 2012 Hot spots: Benchmarking Global City Competitiveness report, Singapore has emerged as Asia’s top city and third globally after the New York City (1st) and London (2nd). Regional rival Hong Kong emerged fourth in the Citigroup-commissioned report.
